Comeback questions....

Ok. Derec came back, and he'll keep callin' me, and callin' me until I go over there and pick him up.... or at least try it too.

I REFUSE to spend more than 1 hour a day reading through the SWG forums for each profession, etc...

My question is: What should I /respec into? Yes, yes, everything is fun.... but c'mon... what COMBAT (non-jedi) proff's are fun?

When I first joined the game, I was BH. Yup. fun, until I realized I couldn't tell the Rebel Jedi from the Imp jedi's until I faced them. Kinda sucky spending an hour tracking, then 'feeling bad' about making money killing a fellow rebel. Also, once Group TEFs (yes, I hear they're gone) were discovered, BH 'content' got pretty sucky. I hear it's still a great combat profession.

I then went Master Range/Rifleman... ooh. awesome, but boring as heck. What's that Marvin? You want MORE carni meat? Ugh... 400K meat isn't enough for your BE needs? yawn...

Then I went the way of Swords / TK / Ranger. Ooh... that pwned. Sux heading back to coronet every 2 hours for a new buff. Isn't that shuttle here YET?!

Ok. Master Doc and TK... and now I'm in the village, grinding force xp with zev-tan every night. Hey zev... anyone else play this game? What's that zev? Come to Endor and buff you again!!!? Ok.

JTL. Nice diversion. Miss it.

Ok.. soo.. it looks like BH / Carbineer / Rifleman look really fun. But I went an placed all my Force stuff into the melee trees... ugh. Hmmm... I never tried Smuggler... that looks interesting.

Anyone have any thoughts for me?

I made a character into master bh, master rifleman and part pistoleer. No need for medic since we can all use Stim d's. With this combo i get to use a vast variety of weapons like a 700+ dps scatter pistol, or my 2k damage dealin' T21, or for kicks those exotic weapons like a proton carbine. The bh prof will grant some sweet defenses too (which is a must because you want to be a lvl 80 character). Let alone if that jedi ticks me off i can go hunt him down. Pistoleer grants the stopping (root) shots, in my opinion another "must have." Rifleman will be nice for kd shots, conceal and sniper shots for those solo moments. All 3 profs compliment each other as well. Each special shot can be used with any prof, any gun. That leaves room for many dif tactic styles.

StimDs for everyone!? Is Doctor still a profession that anyone chooses? Do you use buffs nightly, or just on special occassions? Are there buffs?

Ok. I was looking at a Rifleman variant (BH/Carbineer/Ranger/Smuggler/Poo-Slinging CM).


Misc. Questions I couldn't get answered in the Proff. forums:

1) My HAM stats are still set to pre CU... where they all went to the MIND. 400|400|400 & 400|400|400 & 800|800|1200 or something crazy like that. What should it be like post CU? (as a generic rifleman, as that will probably be my primary)

b) Does EVERYONE have one of those dumb-ass cyborg body-parts?

IX) Is the guild short on Rangers? I see Rangers are still waiting their revamp, but short of being pure combat, it's still fun to track, conceal, camp, and make some $$.
