I was wondering if we actually have an ALI website because I have to design a website for one of my internet tech classes and was wondering if you'd like me to get at it during my class time. I don't get to play as much but just thought I would put that out there.

yea man, good call. I know a lot about making web sites too. (my programs are all on an old pc that i cant seem to get running just yet), otherwise we'd have a site by now. If you would like to make a site that would be sweet bud. Ill help where i can.

i'm just going to use html. but if someone wants to make a wicked cool banner or ALI logo that would be nice, because i can only make so much at a time lol

If anyone is good at making textures and designs that would be cool. I have made a layout type of thing that I think I am going to use for the format of the site, but I don't have the best graphic editting programs to make textures extremely nice. I'll upload something on a site and give a brief outline of what it will look like before I go and write the code for it.

But I'm thinking menu wise and stuff on the site it could be like: News, History Members, Screenshots, Forum.

Probably will be a few other ones but I am looking forward to getting more of the design and code done. Unless I can get a really nice looking layout done on geocities, I will probably just write the code so it looks more professional.

I was thinking that you Hyasa and a few others could maybe write up a history of the guild including all the Cdeli stuff and past guild stuff that has gone down.

i could write up a sick history, i kept a basic swg diary back in the day, but how much to include is the question.

Not sure I could do much on the history. but can wright code for any pages you need help with and do some images and flash if you need buttons that do things. Been a few yrs but thing I can still do all of that just may have to play with it some.

i just thought of a neat idea for a site. you know that interface you see in game when you click on the starport terminals to buy a ticket? use that as a basic background (jpeg). In game you have the option to not name the planets, so all you see is the planets. U can use flash so that when you click on a planet you can get to each part of the site. Have the planet zoom up and black out, after you click it, to show whatever info you want, ie players, history, etc.

to keep the background non changed you can cut out each planet and layer it over the corresponding planet. This way you can click on each planet and make the cut out planet move or zoom up or whatever, without changing the original jpeg background.

the frame of the interface itself will always be intact. all info will be displayed within these frames.
