Some of you may have seen me on guildchat from time to time, others have had the chance to hang with me... and some of you probably never seen or heard of me at all.
I felt like one of the independants in the game. A low-level smuggler (who never really got to smuggle, lol) who wished he could fight with the other high-level members of the guild on places like Mustafar... or Dantooine. I guess I'm not one for grinding, since I've been playing for about 5-6 months and only made it to level 34.
The reason I never made it to level 90 is because my original goal when I first bought this game was to be a successful master pilot. I spent the first month doing nothing but grinding pilot skills in space; hell bent on getting my Flight Artistry certification.
I remember selling my BARC speeder to make enough money to buy the resources for my first YT. I wasn't sure who a good shipwright in Bria was, so I has asked my close friend, Kejid, if he knew any... and I was pointed toward Hyasa. Upon assembling the chassis for my YT, Hyasa gave me the opportunity to sign with ALI... as I gave my word that I would be playing until "SWG sank."
Well... I may have lied to you, Hyasa, and I apologize for making the jump early.
It just doesn't seem worth $15 /month to continue anymore. I achieved my goal to be a decent pilot with a kickass ship and in the process made many friends and aquantances. This experience has made me happy that I embarked on this journey, but now I just can't make the time to play anymore or afford the monthly payments as easily.
March 2nd is my final day on SWG. I will make every attempt to log on and hang out with the guild until the end; I even have to decide how to get rid of all my junk I have. It even makes me a little sad that I will be parting with my favorite ship, "the Panama" (which is being left to Candie, as a gift for being the coolest IG-wife ;D)... the main reason I stayed with the game this long.
In conclusion... simply... I am done; and I want to thank every soul in ALI for making my experience with SWG a blast... even through all the annoying revamps and the NGE.
Thank you all,
Rijyvik "Rij" Kylag
p.s. - I got a whole bunch of junk to get rid of, so I'm thinking of hosting a small party sometime in February to get rid of it all... I'd hate to see all my crap go to waste.
