hey all!glad you all like the pics ;D.good thing i had my camera that day.and yeah that pic behind the gun well i just couldnt resist heh.got some new pics up.one is of a bird strike.a good one too.when those little suckers hit and guts began to us in the cabin area we thought our pilots had been hit.well they where hit...just not with bullets lol.the other set is of today.a dust storm rolled in on us.chaos was rampant!confusion!so we made like tourist and took pics ;D.a buddy of mine and i stood near our former home.also some pics of some of the rides we roll in.i would have gotten the Betty but her gear is kinda classified.hush hush you know  .well any who enjoy guys. |

Hey all!thanks alot for all the happy birthdays there.real nice ;D.Im one year closerto death hehe.Or they call it middle age these days right?Sorry about losing touch there for a bit with you guys.Believe me other friends and family where wondering where the hell i was.The lock and key on that info was at my request.At the time i didnt want my mama to find out that her boy was laid out cold in some hospital where the docs themselves where wondering "if"i was going to wake up.But as you see my words here i woke up heh.I just needed a serious nap.A sunny way of looking at it i think.Before my nap there happened the weeks prior where spent in downtown Baghdad.With the elections and all it was a tense place at the time.The Betty was put on patrol duty then along with some others.I tell ya if it wasnt sniper shots it was some fool and his buddies trying to take on a fully armored hummv.But then these fools started getting resourceful.The nearing elections just drove the already existing frenzy up a notch.Random shootings here.A car bomb or two there.It was interesting.Then up till about 16 days ago it was lights out for the Betty.We where puttering along on the road when we began to approach an over head bridge.Naturaly we slowed down to check the sides for IED's.We saw nothing.We started up agian and shortly before we went under it one of those d**n IED's went off on our left side.It was close to us too.It made the ass end of the Betty spin around and sent us flying to the other side of the road where yet another one was waiting on us.The Betty's front end caught the whole blast.After that second one i was out cold.It wasnt till about 4 days later that i was forced to wake up with drugs.The docs needed to operate.but there where some serious risks involved.I could have given a rat's ass at the time and they where obviously expecting that of me.So they told me.Along with the Betty being taken out her driver Marcos Chevallie,roof gunner Louis Frame,and radion man Christopher Swiennerd went with her.It really sucks the big one here just typing this guys.Still does after having done it a couple times already for my friend's families.But as it is theres only two of us left from the Betty.My friend down the hall here in the hospital was in the seat behind me on the right side.away from both blast.still he got some broken bones in places i didnt even know you had bones.Me.well i cought the second on dead on.my right hand got a little mangled up.got only two fingers and the thumb that will move so far.so i got this claw thing going on.got me two small holes in my left lung due to shrap.and my right eye dosent seem to work now.other than that seems im ok.But it still sucks.i miss my boys.hardcore the whole bunch.as they see it here im told im having trouble dealing with the loss because i havent broken down yet.hell we all got our ways of dealing with things .me i have the nasty habit of bottling things up.i dont mean to do it but i do.it utter chaos inside me right now guys.but this d**n poker face i put on wont show it.sure i want to cry but being a guy old fashion and all i fight the tears back.i jus lay here and stay quiet.thinking.once im able to drink agian im sure ill let it all out over a nice bottle of Jack.You know properly.so do me a favor guys and remember these cats from the Betty.They where my boys,my brothers,my friends.and ill say it now just like ive been yelling it around here like it was the Alamo.Remember the Betty!

Man I don't really know what to say. Real glad you are ok and sorry to hear about your friends our prayers will be with you and there family's and know we support all of you here. Get better soon man

 im soo glad your ok......and soo sorry for your pain and the lose of your buds......I know the pain your feeling as I watched my father and my sisters baby die a long painful death....Sai things do get better tho...time helps some...think of it this way those boys touched your life, u have something of them no one can take away EVER...you will cry when your ready...BIG HUGS....I will pray for you your friends and your familys We love ya man, please let us know how your doing and I for one will be with u in though More HUGS and KISS'S Fancy |

Sai I'm happy to hear that you are still with us, I hope you are back up and kicking butt soon. I'm sorry to hear about your buds and Betty. Words escape me to tell you how I feel. Just know my best wishes are with you.

hey guys.just woke up not long ago from a rather long nap heh.as my last post went im sorry i laid out such heavy stuff on you guys but i do appreciate your replies.and Fancy..it must have been rough to recall what happened to you so im really gratefull for the support.and your right on that whole time taking care of things.right now im just letting the light shine on what i got heh.oh!talking about light!i saw some.with my messed up eye that is heh.they took off that huge bandage i had and i saw a small faint glow of white.so everyone here went Yay!i dont know the exact details of the matter but as far as i know im told that the important parts of my eye were not completely damaged as they first thought.so good stuff.wish it was the same thing with my lung heh.one of the reasons why im still in Kuwait.they tried to move me a few days ago and all sorts of bells and whistles went of on the monitors.so i passed out for a few days .so im staying in country till some high up colonel doc from Walter Reed army hospital comes over to evaluate me for safe transport to the states.so i might be here a bit heh.well fellas i promise happy posts from now on.stuff is and will be getting better.im sure of it now.
